How the heck did we end up in mexico?
Michal and Honza Kapolkovi

how the heck did we end up in mexico?

Many years ago, we visited our sister Simona and her husband Scooter in the USA, they introduced us to Mexican cuisine and several chefs. We were amazed. Mexican food is fast, fresh, and high-quality – something different from classic fast food restaurants. A trip to Mexico followed, and a true addiction was born. We fell in love with it so much that we simply had to do something about it. In 2014, we opened our first branch in Frýdek-Místek. Today, you can find us in 12 cities across the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

La filosofia de Los Capolitos
Authenticity. Taste. Fairness. Quality. Willingness. Professionalism. Friendliness. Joy. Loyalty.
We treat our customers to a little escape to Mexico from the reality of everyday life.

We create a relaxed and friendly atmosphere for everyone. We know how to make your day pleasant and satisfy your hunger.

We serve only what we prepare with love and passion.

We’re not afraid to joke around, be ourselves, and avoid acting like robots stuck on four rehearsed phrases.

We approach everyone individually and with a smile.

We always do the very best we can. If we’re missing something or make a mistake, we’re humble enough to apologize and turn the situation around.

We maintain a family atmosphere within our team.

We listen to each team member, help them and expect the same from them. Each branch has its own La Familia, where we really function as one big family, helping each other, complementing each other and we can throw a good party. We hold regular trainings and meetings to ensure everyone works responsibly while still enjoying their job.

We value our regular customers.

We know how to show them our appreciation, and they often become our friends, making our work even more enjoyable.

We never compromise on our standards.

On the contrary, we strive to raise them every day, pushing our concept forward to new heights.

Now the Kapolkas brothers are getting their successful bistros beyond the borders. They put together the concept of a bistro that is rapidly growing in popularity. There are already branches of Los Capolitos all over the Republic - and increasingly also in the neighbors.
The brothers wanted a bistro but can’t open.

Michal and Honza Kapolkovi originally wanted to open a Mexican bistro. After eight years, they own three branches and nine more have been opened by their franchisees. The first foreign one, in Bratislava, is likely to be joined soon by a second one. And that's probably not the end of it.
Exchanging architecture for food
Exchanging architecture for food
Jan Kapolka was supposed to be an architect. But after a few years of college, he discovered that construction and architecture were not so close to him after all. And he made a big change. Ten years ago, when he was 23, he and his brother Michal started Los Capolitos, a Mexican food bistro. And today he knows it was the right move.
